Homemade ice cream is delish. While all ice cream is yummy, homemade ice cream is delicious. There’s a difference. Aside from being able to flavor it however, the ingredients and chemicals are kept to a minimum. This recipe for this  Bourbon Walnut Sorghum Flavored No-Churn Ice Cream is a gem. Aside from the awesome flavor, an ice cream churn is not needed.

The recipe calls for condensed milk, sorghum syrup, heavy whipping cream, raw walnut halves, and bourbon. Of course it can be added to taste but the recipe only requires 3 Tbs. The walnuts are toasted in a skillet and chopped. Then they are whisked together with the condensed milk and bourbon. In a separate bowl, the cream is beaten to peaks and then the condensed milk mixture is folded in. When all is prepped, it is poured into a pan and drizzled with sorghum syrup. The mixture is frozen overnight and served when firm.
