Mouth-watering steaks with an unusual twist – Sorghum Steak Sauce

Steak lovers visiting Greenville, South Carolina’s beautiful Main Street discover an unusual and tempting option on the menu at Soby’s. Sorghum Steak Sauce is Executive Chef Shaun Garcia’s interpretation of a Southern-inspired steak sauce.

“I grew up enjoying the taste of sorghum,” says Garcia. “It was a table staple at mealtime, right next to the chow chow and pickles, so I grew up blending it with a lot of different flavors. Sorghum is an ingredient that’s still always in my pantry. I thought it would make a great sauce for steak,” he explains, “because the sweetness pairs so well with savory, juicy cuts of meat. I felt it would really accent the grilled flavor of the meat. It’s not an ingredient that covers up flavor, but brings it out instead. So, I gave it a try and loved it. It also reflects my cooking style and background.” (Recipe in Link Below)
